- <p>Notes: 在 ''zài'' and 有 ''yǒu'' can both be used in defining location. 在 ''zài'' however refers to the location of a specific thing, ''the'' supermarket, ''the'' school, whereas 有 ''yǒu'' indicates the general existence of something, ''a'' supermarket, ''a'' school.</p>
