      <p>The <span class="bold"><strong><span xml:lang="ru" class="foreignphrase"><em xml:lang="ru"
                class="foreignphrase">самова́р</em></span></strong></span> samovar has become
        something of a Russian national symbol. Contrary to what many foreigners think, the samovar
        holds only heated water; the <span class="bold"><strong><span xml:lang="ru"
              class="foreignphrase"><em xml:lang="ru" class="foreignphrase"
            >зава́рка</em></span></strong></span> concentrated tea is usually in а <span
          class="bold"><strong><span xml:lang="ru" class="foreignphrase"><em xml:lang="ru"
                class="foreignphrase">ча́йник</em></span></strong></span> small teapot which sits on
        top of the samovar, where it stays warm. Russians make tea by pouring the tea concentrate
        into a cup or glass and diluting it with boiling water. You'll often be asked: «<span
          class="bold"><strong><span xml:lang="ru" class="foreignphrase"><em xml:lang="ru"
                class="foreignphrase">Вам покре́пче, или послабе́е?</em></span></strong></span>» "Do
        you like yours strong or weak?"</p>
      <p>If you're purchasing any type of antiques in the <span class="bold"><strong><span
              xml:lang="ru" class="foreignphrase"><em xml:lang="ru" class="foreignphrase"
                >комиссио́нный</em></span></strong></span> secondhand store or <span class="bold"
              ><strong><span xml:lang="ru" class="foreignphrase"><em xml:lang="ru"
                class="foreignphrase">худо́жественный салон</em></span></strong></span> art
        gallery/store, be sure you ask if what you're buying may be taken out of the country. Use
        the phrase «<span class="bold"><strong><span xml:lang="ru" class="foreignphrase"><em
                xml:lang="ru" class="foreignphrase">Э́то мо́жно вывози́ть из
            страны́?</em></span></strong></span>» You may have to ask for a specific type of receipt
        from the store and you may also need to obtain other documentation at a later date.</p>
