  29. Jin Nong </font><font size="-0" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">金农</font><font size="-1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"> (1687-1764)<br>
  30. Jin Nong was born in Hangzhou but moved to Yangzhou where he spent his working life. His designated<br>
  31. name was Shoumen </font><font size="-0" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">寿门</font><font size="-1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"> and his literary name was Dongxin </font><font size="-0" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">冬心</font><font size="-1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"> . He was both a painter and<br>
  32. calligrapher. As a calligraper he specialized in official or clerical script, creating a variation built upon<br>
  33. official and regular scripts called &quot;lacquer script&quot;. <br>
